Made from the über-trendy Godello grape, grown at 600m altitude in Valdeorras in NW Spain, this type of wine is right at the forefront of Spanish winemaking. Showing citrus, fennel and stonefruit notes and a bit like a Chardonnay in terms of weight, the wine has gained considerable interest and mouthfeel by spending 4-5 months on lees in large oak vats. A delicious wine, brilliantly judged, which has helped establish Godello and Valdeorras in the premier league.
