A small family producer, with around 4 hectares of vines, their history of Txakoli production can be traced back at least 150 years. Proud of their artisan methods, the family controls every step of the process from grape to bottle - "pampering" every bunch of grapes, according to their website. Pampered or not this lively wine is a textbook example of the style, with a soft nose of pears and a very fresh and zippy palate. The winery can be visited by prior arrangement or as part of a Getaria and Basque Coast tour organized by us as a return trip from San Sebastián.

This is their top Txakoli and the...
